Too Busy Working, No Time to Relax- Top Tips to Create an Effective Meditation

With the increasing work pressures we encounter on a daily basis as well as social pressures, not to mention juggling home life duties, it can be hard to find the time to relax. As a result, it can feel from time to time as though we’ve hit the ‘burnout’ stage. Meditation can be a fantastic way to restore calm in our lives and take a minute to relax the mind.

When we meditate, we put far-reaching and long-lasting benefits into our lives. For certain, it will bring more calmness and balance into your life so that you will find it much easier to listen and follow your own inner guidance. Even just 20 minutes of meditation a day is the equivalent to 2 hours of sleep!

Many people at the beginner stages will find it difficult at first to maintain a regular meditation practice, however that is very normal. Sitting and relaxing the mind requires commitment, discipline, and perseverance if you are to gain the true benefits of meditation — it is not always easy! In this blog, we are going to walk you through some mindful tips that will help you break the common obstacles that many encounter when meditating for the first time.

Same Time, Same Place

Try to find a time of day to meditate that suits you and then stick to that time. Making your practice a regular part of your normal daily routine is key to developing a lasting habit. Your spirit beings who want to contact or work with you will be easier to connect with from the spiritual realm if they know they can reach you around the same time each day.

When you meditate in the same spot each time, you will find that over time the energy will build up there and you will experience greater peace, heightened intuition and greater depth in your meditation.

You can also raise the vibration of where you meditate by misting the area with Space Clearing Mist or Meditation Essence.

20 Minutes Is Enough

We recommend that the ideal time for meditation is around 20 minutes. However, if you can only fit 10 minutes in sometimes, that is certainly better than nothing and still beneficial. For those who are worried they do not have the time to meditate each day, try firstly taking a course of Black-eyed Susan Essence or Calm & Clear Essence for two weeks to help with grounding and focus and allowing yourself time and space to unwind.

If possible, meditate on an empty stomach. You will enjoy your meditation even more if you do it after some stretching or Yoga.

You Don’t Have To Sit Cross-Legged

Forget the stereotypical images of people sitting cross-legged to meditate. For many of us, that position can in fact feel very uncomfortable and distracting. The most important thing is that you find a meditation position that is comfortable for you so that you do not have any distractions when trying to clear your mind.

Meditation Essence

For some extra guidance, try taking a dose of Meditation Essence before meditating. It can help to improve the quality of your meditation sessions, providing psychic protection and healing of the aura. It can assist in awakening your spirituality through meditation and accessing your Higher Self and inner guidance.

 Let Go Of Your Expectations

If you are a beginner, try to not have any expectations about what your meditation should be. Having a meditation session that is full of chatter and thoughts, where the time goes very slowly, is as beneficial as a meditation where you have gone incredibly deep and time seems to have flown. The former is more likely to occur when you first start meditating, though it is still likely to happen from time to time even after meditating for many years.

One of the great benefits of meditation is to connect to and heighten your intuition. Provided you meditate on a regular basis, you will achieve this.

Stick with it!

It’s always fairly easy to start something new: a new diet, a new fitness regime, learning a new skill — but the most difficult part can be keeping it going. Give yourself a month of meditating daily, after that you will notice the difference on the days you miss, which will motivate you to do it the next day. Just remember that the more you stick with your meditation practice, the more benefits you will feel.
